Frequently Asked Questions

The fastest way is WhatsApp on +977 9818514837, or email info@jivanparivartan.com. Tell us briefly what you are interested in and any preferred dates, and we will recommend the right option and confirm availability. Single sessions can usually be arranged within a week; courses and retreats are booked ahead with a deposit.
No. Most of what we offer, including Reiki, sound healing, morning meditation and our one-day transformation program, is suitable for complete beginners. Our teacher training also welcomes dedicated beginners. We adapt every practice to where you are.
Prices vary by service and are listed on each page where published. As a guide: Reiki and singing bowl sessions are modestly priced; morning meditation can be paid per session, weekly or monthly; and residential teacher training, retreats and the one-day transformation program are priced per program. Our published retreat packages are in USD, and we can also quote in Nepalese rupees. For anything without a figure on its page, contact us for current pricing.
Reiki is a hands-on energy healing practice that works primarily on the energy body and nervous system, with the practitioner’s hands resting lightly on or above you. Sound healing uses Himalayan singing bowls and gongs whose vibrations work on the physical and emotional body. Many people combine the two; they complement each other well.
No. Reiki, sound healing, meditation and yoga are complementary practices that work alongside medical and psychological care, not in place of it. We do not diagnose or treat illness. Please continue any treatment your doctor has prescribed, and tell us about relevant conditions so we can adapt safely.
Yes, and most guests do. Reiki, sound healing and meditation pair naturally, and many teacher-training students add healing sessions or a retreat. We will help you build a balanced schedule rather than overloading your days.
Our centre is in Tarkeshwor-5, in the quiet north-west of the Kathmandu Valley near the Shivapuri-Nagarjun forest, around 45 minutes from Tribhuvan International Airport in normal traffic. Contact us for directions and we can arrange an airport pick-up.
A standard tourist visa, available on arrival at Kathmandu airport, covers attending any course or retreat. Choose 30 days for a 200-hour training and 90 days for training combined with trekking or travel. See our Nepal visa guide for fees and the process.
Autumn (October to early December) and spring (March to May) offer the clearest skies and best mountain conditions and are ideal for retreats and trekking. Indoor practice, healing and meditation run year-round, including the quiet winter and green monsoon months.
Yes. Our morning meditation runs online as well as in person, and we offer distance Reiki healing delivered live from Kathmandu to clients anywhere in the world using the classical Level 2 protocol. Ask us about online options when you enquire.
Yes. We welcome solo travellers, and many of our guests, including solo women, come on their own. Nepal is generally a safe and hospitable country, and our centre offers a supportive, respectful environment. We are happy to answer any specific concerns before you travel.
In short: single sessions can be rescheduled with 24 hours notice; courses and retreats use tiered refunds depending on how far ahead you cancel, and deposits can usually be transferred to a later date within 12 months. Full details are on our Booking & Refund Policy page.
