What is the 10-day online meditation retreat?

Meditation is simple to learn but hard to keep up alone. This program gives you ten days in a row of guided practice, which is long enough to turn it into a habit.

Maa Nisha Kabir leads every session live online and adjusts the practice to the people in the group. You do not need to master anything. The goal is a short routine for calming the mind that you can repeat on your own once the ten days are over. If you have tried meditation before and it did not stick, or you have never tried it, this is a practical place to start.

What you practise over the ten days

The practices are simple and traditional. Each day builds on the one before, and you are always told what to do next.

Breath awareness and pranayama

Watching the breath, then simple breathing exercises (pranayama) to steady it.

Mindfulness

Keeping attention on what you are doing or noticing, and bringing it back when a busy mind wanders.

Silent meditation

Periods of sitting in silence, with Maa Nisha guiding you into and out of each one.

A practice to keep

By the last day you have a short routine you can repeat on your own after the ten days.
