What is a yoga and meditation retreat?

Where a general yoga retreat centres on physical practice, this retreat keeps meditation at the heart of each day, with yoga and pranayama as preparation. It is for people whose real need is mental: stress, overthinking, poor sleep, or simply a longing for stillness they cannot find at home.

Led by meditation teacher Swami Anish and the Jivan Parivartan team, the retreat draws on the Himalayan tradition where breath and meditation are the main practice and posture supports it. You leave not just looser in the body but quieter in the mind.

No. This retreat is one of the best ways to begin meditating, because you are guided every day in a supportive setting with no distractions. Experienced meditators also value the chance to deepen their practice in silence. We meet you wherever you are.
We include periods of supported silence rather than a full silent retreat, so you get the benefit of quieting the mind while still having guidance and gentle connection. If you would like a longer or fully silent meditation retreat, ask us about our dedicated meditation retreat options.
The balance is different. A general retreat centres on physical yoga; this one centres on meditation, with yoga and breathwork as preparation. Choose this if your main goal is mental calm, clarity and better sleep rather than physical practice.
